Signature for online forms140 × 60
About this setting
Where this size is used
Many online application forms in India, including the bank recruitment exams run by IBPS, ask for a signature of 140 × 60 pixels as a JPG of 10 to 20 KB. This setting crops your scan to that wide shape from the centre, resizes it and saves a JPG under 20 KB at the highest quality that fits.
A 140 × 60 JPG is tiny, and a clean signature on white paper can come out below 10 KB even at top quality. If the form also sets a minimum, check the size shown with the result before you upload.
Tips
- Sign in black or dark blue ink on plain white paper; thin ballpoint lines can look faint at 140 × 60.
- Crop close around the signature first, leaving a little white margin.
- Scan or photograph the paper flat and straight in daylight, so it looks white rather than grey.

FAQ
Good to know
Why is my signature cut off?
The tool cuts a 7:3 shape from the centre of the image. If your scan is taller, or has a lot of paper around the signature, crop it close to the signature first. The form says 10–20 KB, but my file is 8 KB. What now?
Small, clean images compress very well. Check whether the form allows a larger pixel size and enter it in the custom size; a larger image makes a larger file.Does the tool make the background transparent?
No. It saves a JPG with a white background, which is what these forms ask for. For a transparent signature to place on documents, use the background remover.
