FAQ

Short answers to the questions we hear most.

Credits & pricing

  • What are credits?

Credits are how you pay for each run. Every tool shows how many credits it needs before you start, and nothing runs until you confirm.

    See plans
  • What happens if a run fails?

Credits are only held while your photo is being processed. If the run fails, the held credits go back to your balance automatically.

Using the tools

  • Which photos can I upload?

JPG, PNG or WebP files up to 10 MB. Some tools have extra limits, which are listed on each tool page.

  • Can I use the results commercially?

Yes, you may use your results commercially. Before you publish, check logos, text and the rights of any people shown.

    Terms of service
  • Which languages is the site in?

We pick a language from your browser settings. You can switch at any time from the language menu at the bottom of every page.

Account & privacy

  • Who can see my photos?

Your uploads are processed by our AI providers to create the result. Results are stored privately in your account for a limited time.

Payments & refunds

  • How can I pay?

Payments are handled by Paddle, our payment partner. You can pay with major cards and local payment methods via Paddle.

  • Can I get a refund?

Until the end of the 14th day after a website payment (UTC), you can ask for a refund of the unused credits from that payment. Purchases in the iPhone app are refunded by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

  • How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel anytime. Cancelling stops future renewals, and you keep your remaining credits until they expire, up to 60 days after they were added.

Using specific tools

  • Passport photo maker: Will my photo be accepted?

We can't guarantee it. Each government sets its own rules and changes them, and some only accept photos taken at the office or sent digitally by a registered studio (for example German passports and ID cards since 2025). Check your government's current photo requirements before you print or submit.

  • Passport photo maker: Do you edit my photo?

The free No-edit crop only crops and resizes your original photo. AI mode removes the background and adds a plain one; it does not retouch your face, but a replaced background is still an edit. Many governments (for example US, UK, Canadian, Australian, Korean, Taiwanese and Chinese passports) reject such photos, so for those use the free crop with a photo taken against a plain white or light wall. An AI photo is paid once and exports in every size.

  • Product scene photos: Can I use it for marketplace main images?

Many marketplaces require a plain white background for the main image. For that, use the Background remover; use scene photos for additional images, ads and social posts.

  • Virtual staging: Can I use it in a property listing?

Only with a clear disclosure. Label the photo as virtually staged or AI-generated, and keep the original photo available. Many listing platforms and some jurisdictions require virtually staged photos to be marked, and some also require the unstaged original. Check the rules that apply to you; you are responsible for how you use the image.

  • Image translator: Is the translation always right?

No. It is AI-generated: small, blurry, curved, decorative or handwritten text may be skipped, misread or translated wrongly, and some text can stay in the original language. Always check important text yourself, and never rely on it alone for allergens, medicine, safety or legal information.

  • Photo restoration: Is the result faithful?

AI fills in missing detail, so faces and text may differ slightly from the original. To add color to a black-and-white photo, use Old photo restore & colorize. Keep your original file.

  • AI headshot generator: Whose photos can I use?

Only photos of yourself, or of someone who has agreed to it.

  • Object remover: What photos work?

JPG, PNG or WebP, at least 128 px a side. Larger photos are resized in your browser to at most 1600 px and 2.56 megapixels before upload.
