Use of the service, credits and payments
Methodhelm provides member accounts and AI image tools. These Terms apply whether you use Methodhelm on the website or in the Methodhelm iPhone app. If you download the app from the App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the app itself. The site identifies available tools; unavailable features are not offered for purchase. You must have the rights needed for submitted text and images and must not use the service unlawfully or to infringe others' rights. AI results may be inaccurate or unexpected; review them before use or publication. Before a paid generation, the site displays the server quote in credits and places a hold. Credits settle after a result is produced and verified; a known failure releases the hold. If completion is temporarily unknown, the hold may remain until reconciliation. A page timeout does not establish that the job failed or may safely be resent. The model, input limits and credits shown in the quote at execution govern that request. Paid plans and one-time credits use Paddle checkout. Final price, currency, tax and billing period are shown before payment submission. Methodhelm delivers the corresponding entitlement after receiving a trusted completion notice. Subscriptions and credit packs bought in the iPhone app are sold and billed by Apple through the App Store, under Apple's terms. Methodhelm adds the credits after Apple confirms the purchase. App subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them; you manage and cancel them in your iPhone Settings (tap your name, then Subscriptions), not on our website. Cancelling renewal stops future renewals. Access to the paid subscription continues until its original expiry date; each credit allocation remains subject to its existing expiry and eligibility rules. If you delete your account, any website subscription is cancelled immediately, the remaining period is not refunded, and unused credits are forfeited. To get a refund of a website payment that is still within its 14-day refund period, request it under the Refund policy before deleting. We cannot cancel App Store subscriptions for you: cancel them in your iPhone Settings, and request any App Store refund from Apple. For payments made on the website through Paddle, you can request a refund of the unused credits from a payment (subscription or one-time credit pack) until the end of the 14th day after the day of that payment (UTC); used credits are not refundable. This 14-day rule does not apply to purchases made in the iPhone app: Apple handles all refunds for App Store purchases under Apple's terms, and you request them from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. If Apple refunds an app purchase, we take back credits as described in the Refund policy, down to a balance of zero; your balance never becomes negative. See the Refund policy for details. Right of withdrawal for website payments: Until the end of the 14th day after the day of a website payment (UTC), you can withdraw from that purchase without giving a reason by asking for a refund of the unused credits from that payment. We refund the share of the price that matches your unused credits, and those credits are removed from your balance. If the payment is for a subscription, withdrawing also cancels the subscription so it does not renew. Before you pay, we ask you to agree that your credits become available immediately and to acknowledge that each generation is a service fully provided once it completes; for that reason, credits you have already used cannot be withdrawn from or refunded. To withdraw, email support@methodhelm.com with your account email and order ID, or use the link in your Paddle receipt; see the Refund policy for details. Purchases in the iPhone app are refunded by Apple under Apple's terms. This does not reduce any statutory right of withdrawal you have, such as 7 days under Taiwan's Consumer Protection Act or 14 days in the EU and UK, and nothing in these Terms limits rights that the law does not allow to be excluded. Your website and app purchases go into one credit balance on your Methodhelm account, and you can use them in both. Credit packs bought in the app never expire. Credit packs bought on the website are valid for 365 days, and subscription credits for 60 days, from when they are added. Credits that expire soonest are used first. If you upgrade an app subscription from Starter to Creator during a billing period, Apple refunds part of the old plan, and we take back the same share of that period's Starter credits that you have not used yet. If you subscribe on both the website and in the app, both subscriptions are charged and both add credits until you cancel one of them. Promotional credits, such as welcome credits, are granted free of charge, once per person and email address, expire on the date shown in your account, have no cash value, and are not refundable or transferable. Spending them never reduces the refund available for a purchase. Statutory rights and approved exceptional cases remain unaffected. The service may change or pause for provider, maintenance, safety or technical reasons. You must have the rights needed for uploaded content and review generated results yourself.
